Open Terminal

This is the easiest step! Just do this:

Press these two keys at the SAME time:

⌘ Command + Space

A search bar appears! Now type:

Terminal

Press Enter and a black window opens. That's Terminal!

I opened Terminal! ✓

Open Claude (Your AI Helper)

In that Terminal window, type this ONE word and press Enter:

claude

Wait a few seconds... Claude will start up!

You'll see some text appear and then Claude is ready to help you.

Claude is open! ✓

Tell Claude to Fix Everything

This is the magic part! Copy this ENTIRE message and paste it into Claude:

Hey Claude! I'm Micah, I'm 13, and I need help getting Minecraft Java Edition working so I can play with my uncle ddot. He built a server for me and is waiting! Can you please:

1. Check if Minecraft Java Edition is installed, if not help me install it
2. Make sure Java is installed (Minecraft needs it)
3. Fix any launch problems
4. Once it works, tell me to go back to ddot's guide for the server info

Please explain everything in simple terms and go step by step with me. Thanks!

Press Enter to send it to Claude!
